Kennel Tech

Buck's Dog Training Virginia is hiring a Kennel Tech at our Newsoms facility. You are the person every dog in the building depends on. A typical shift: feeding and fresh water, potty breaks and yard rotations, giving medication on schedule, cleaning kennels and runs, supervising playgroups, and logging the behavior notes our training team relies on. This is physical work and it is good work. You will be on your feet for most of your shift, handling dogs of every size, and cleaning up after them. Dogs board with us seven days a week, so the schedule includes weekends and some holidays. No professional dog experience is required. If you are reliable, you do not cut corners on the boring parts, and you are genuinely good with animals, we will teach you the rest. What the day actually looks like - Morning: everybody out, everybody fed, medications given and logged. - Through the day: yard rotations, playgroups watched properly, kennels kept clean. - Evening: last turnout, final feed, notes written up for the trainers. You will be working alongside our training team, and what you write down about a dog genuinely changes how that dog is worked the next day. It is not paperwork for its own sake.
